A native of Putnam County, Indiana, has over 20 years experience in marketing, communications, PR, social media, email marketing, and content strategy. Graduating with honors from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, she began her career at Nashville Ballet holding various positions over eight years including Director of Marketing.
Continuing her career at SCAD – The University for Creative Careers in Savannah, Georgia, she held several positions over nine years including Social Media Manager. Shannon joined Distinct in March 2020 as the first Marketing Advisor/Business Advocate.
Outside of work, Shannon has a passion for triathlon and long-distance cycling. She has competed in 100+ races and is an Ironman finisher. Since moving back to Putnam County in 2019, Shannon has formed local running and cycling training groups and events in an effort to increase involvement in local races and build a healthy community.
Volunteer efforts include serving as race director for the inaugural 46run35 1/2 Marathon + 5K and the inaugural Moore’s Bar and Grill Haunted Halloween 5K + Kids Monster Mile. Additionally, Shannon serves on the Putnam County Hospice and Palliative Care Association’s Board of Directors and Community Education Committee.
Little known facts, Shannon can be spotted in several scenes of the film “The Glorias” about the life of Gloria Steinem starring Julianne Moore and Bette Midler. Her name can be seen in the credits of the Netflix film “Holidate” for which she was the accounting clerk.
